Yes.  It was very well done.  Great people, great conversation, great food, great models, great weather and great equipment for sale/trade.  It was a lot of fun and well worth the trip.

And, there was even beer and Everclear being consumed.  LOL.

Do it again Eddie.

it is  beauty!  and do not worry.  we dripped a couple of drops of silver nitrate on it and a finger print of silver so it is "broke in" now.  you can see my thumb print very easily on the rear standard.....

har har har!

seriously,  it is a beauty.  steve was very adamant about NOT touching it!  it is in fine shape.

Glad to hear it. I'm sure it will have plenty of silver stains eventually. You should of asked him to shoot a plate with it. I can imagine what his reaction would of been...lol Robert

So it was Robert's camera! It was a real piece of art work!  The price is great considering the top craftsmanship.  Please post a few plates after you get it.  You challenge will probably be on shrinking you image from 15x15 to 600DPI here:)

Well I just finished up teaching large format photography at Hiram College. It was great having the freedom  to adjust the curriculum to include wet plate (tintypes and ambrotypes) and platinum printing, using film and glass negatives. So I'll be taking a trip to Rochester, N.Y. on the 28th to pick up the new camera that all of you saw at Eddie's place. I just received a picture of the new tripod and saddle that Steve is now making. Wait to you all get a look at the new tripods that are going to be offered from Blackart in the next few weeks. They are awesome looking. Robert
